Our Principles
- Inclusivity Across Roles: Whether you're an admin, developer, consultant, architect, data specialist, or business user, you are an integral part of our community. Our diverse experiences enrich our collective knowledge.
- Focus on Data Practices: Our goal is to help Salesforce users achieve their business outcomes based on reliable data, delivered in a contextual, compliant, and user-friendly way. We want trailblazers to share challenges or best practices.
Guidance on Seeking Help:
- Do not share confidential information.
- Engage with the community on chatter, contact CGLs directly, Slack us.
- When possible, share the business objective vs. only the technical challenge. There may be more than one way to address your needs.
- Use examples to help you frame the problem and the desired outcome.
Guidance on Sharing Solutions:
- Start with the "job to be done," followed by the types of solutions needed. Focus on solving specific needs, rather than promoting products.
- Explain the necessity behind choosing a particular solution type, e.g. data enrichment, to address the business or technical need.
- You can use screenshots to illustrate the challenge or solution steps. Make sure any data is synthetic or anonymized.
- Conclude your guidance with the list of Salesforce, ISV, or third-party products or patterns you’ve referenced. Give credit where it’s due.
- No Sales or Marketing: Your suggestions can mention commercial offerings; however, this is not a selling forum. If you work for an ISV or SI partner, disclose your affiliation.
