I have been a practicing Salesforce Business Analyst for the last 10 years. I actually started as a Salesforce Admin and transitioned to a Business Analyst; but like most Business Analysts, my professional experience also includes Project Management, Configuration, QA/UAT Test Management, training, and post-production support (as a consultant). I've generally been successful finding opportunities in California and elsewhere working remotely, but have had trouble landing a new role over the last 7 months after being laid off last August. I'd like to know if other BA's or BA adjacent roles are experiencing the same issues. I am getting lots of interest - I have interviewed 2-3 times a week since August - but offers are not coming through. I'm open to either full-time or contracting gigs, but am seeing the same lack of success. Having said that, I love what I do and am excited to get back where I belong - providing that bridge between business owners and users, and translating what they need to be successful into technical solutions.
As far as resources, if you aren't on Trailhead you should be. There is a Salesforce Business Analyst Certification available if you don't have that yet. There is an OC chapter of the IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) that was much more active prior to 2020 but I haven't seen much activity since then.
