Announcing the August Twin Cities Salesforce.com Developer User Group meeting!
It's that time again!
Snacks and beverages will be provided to all attendees - if you have special dietary concerns, please let me know as soon as you can.
I'm testing the waters on a time change - instead of the late afternoon, we're going to try a "first thing in the AM" timeslot. 8a-12p.
NOTE! Our meeting host's facility is secure, so please make sure you confirm your attendance by the RSVP due date so we can have visitor badges and escorts ready and waiting for your arrival. Parking is also free, and a map will be sent out prior to the meeting.
This meeting will start off with a deep dive into some coding best practices and examples. Come ready to learn, contribute, and apply knowledge!
Draft agenda: (final agenda will be sent out as topics are confirmed)
Welcome / Greetings / Introductions of new members Upcoming Product Technical Demo: ReadyTalk Conferencing (Chris Harrison) Helper Classes - what are they, and then when and why should you use them? Maps, Sets, and Lists - when to use what? Sites and Portals (presentation by Salesforce) Test Classes - best practices for coverage such as using System.Assert Ping your Peers! *** If you feel that you would like to help share / present information on any of these topics, contact me!
The format of the meeting will be very informal; each of the topics mentioned above will be presented and discussed with open (and expected!) group participation. Come ready to learn, share, and challenge the status quo!
If you have colleagues, friends, or just that weird guy down the hall that you would like to bring along - they are absolutely welcome! Have them join this Meetup.com group so we can get their name on the list for badges.
BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE!!
Salesforce sent some swag our way, and one particularly interesting item was an OnLive gaming console. To make things more interesting - we're going to have a little contest for someone to win this puppy at the August meeting!
