Join us for a FREE one-day workshop designed to teach you how to build mobile and enterprise applications. This Salesforce Platform ELEVATE hands-on developer event takes place at the McNamara Alumni Center - Minneapolis on Thursday, April 29 starting with breakfast at 8:00 am. Track 1: Salesforce1 Platform Basics
Learn how to create custom business applications in the cloud without having to write any code. With the Salesforce1 Platform, you can create relational data models that enforce business logic and can be accessed via a web browser or mobile device. This workshop will walk the attendee through creating an example cloud-based business application, starting with modeling out data and ending with accessing the application for a mobile device. This is a workshop with hands-on exercises. Please bring a laptop that can access the internet. 

Track 2: Salesforce1 Platform Programmatic
The Salesforce1 Platform offers a wide range of features through Apex and Visualforce. Apex is a cloud-based programing language similar to Java, and Visualforce is the component user interface framework that runs within the platform. This workshop will cover how to get up and running with Apex and Visualforce as well as a dive into some of the their key features like unit testing, creating custom REST endpoints and utilizing Visua;force for the Salesfroce1 Mobile App. This is a workshop with hands-on exercises. Please bring a laptop that can access the internet. 

Track 3: Heroku Basics
Heroku is Salesforce's multi-language cloud platform build for and by developers. Heroku supports Ruby, Node.js, Python, and Java so you can use the language you already know how to depoly, iterate, and scale your customer-facing web applications. With the use of new Salesforce and Heroku technologies, you can link those applications to your Salesforce customer data. This is a workshop with hands-on exercises. Please bring a laptop that can access the internet.
