About this event

We're back at the Desynit office for our first meetup of 2026 with presentations from Adam Eldridge and co-organiser Dorian Sutton with Aysenur Gunalp.

Adam is a Co-Founder of Avari, a small consultancy specialising in Salesforce development, DevOps, and integration. He was previously a Principal Salesforce Engineer at Gentrack and Salesforce Platform Lead at Pure Planet, and has spent much of his career working in the energy and utilities sector.

Adam is a huge fan of the BASH programming language and will be sharing his experiences of using it with Salesforce:

"The Salesforce CLI gives developers access to nearly every aspect of the Salesforce platform. By combining these commands with simple Bash scripts, we can solve complex problems in a repeatable, reliable way. In this session, we’ll walk through some practical examples of using Bash to automate common Salesforce tasks. The aim is to reduce manual work, minimise friction, and help you feel inspired to automate the boring stuff."

Dorian is, like everybody else, trying to keep up with the avalanche of AI related tools and products, and to work out which ones are useful and useable. Aysenur is a Salesforce admin at Dojo in Bristol, where she has been responsible for rolling out Agentforce Prompt Builder templates and incorporating them into existing workflows.

"In this talk Aysenur will be introducing Prompt Builder and explaining how she has been using it to supplement case management processing at Dojo, and the kind of errors that can sneak into prompts as they grow more complex, and include more RAG data. Dorian will be talking about Prompt Template Batch Processing in Apex, and how on a recent project we discovered a major bug that sent Salesforce back to the drawing board!"

The meetup will be hosted at the Desynit office. Pizza and refreshments will be provided on arrival. Following the presentations, we will be heading out to a nearby venue to continue the evening

Please note: Salesforce no longer reimburses us for alcoholic drinks bought for these events, and since we have no sponsorship for this event, we will not be providing any. Following the presentations, we will be heading out to a nearby venue to continue the evening, but there will not be a bar tab as in the past, sorry! We welcome any feedback about how these events work, so please let us know what you think.

We cannot wait to see you there!

Dorian, Edith and Aidan
