About this event

In-person Salesforce Architect Session

Least privilege is easy to agree with in principle, but notoriously hard to implement in practice. In this session, we’ll move beyond theory and get hands-on with how to architect least-privilege access in real Salesforce orgs, balancing security, usability, scale, and operational reality.

We’ll cover:

  • What “least privilege” actually means in a Salesforce context (and where teams often get it wrong)

  • Practical design patterns for profiles, permission sets, permission set groups, and role hierarchies

  • Common anti-patterns that quietly erode your security model over time

  • How to design for growth: new products, new personas, and new compliance requirements

  • Real-world trade-offs architects have to make (and how to make them intentionally)

This is an interactive, architect-level discussion, grounded in real implementations rather than textbook ideals. Come for the security architecture, stay for the coffee and good debate. As always, expect thoughtful discussion, practical takeaways, and a few strong opinions
