Superbadges are where Trailhead stops holding your hand. There are no step-by-step instructions, just a business scenario and a set of requirements you have to reason your way through. That's exactly what makes them valuable, and exactly why so many people stall halfway.
This month, the Cape Town Salesforce Architects Trailblazer Group is running a Superbadge Cohort: a four-hour online session where we work through the Apex Callouts Superbadge together, not alone.
You'll be placed in a small, mixed-experience breakout group so newer Trailblazers and seasoned builders can learn from each other. We'll move through the challenges as a cohort, regrouping between sections to share progress and unblock each other. The focus is on the why as much as the how: understanding the business logic behind the solution, not just getting the green tick.
How the session works
We start together in the main room for introductions and context-setting. From there you choose how you want to work: a collaborative breakout room where your group talks through the challenges out loud, or a quiet room if you'd rather work independently at your own pace. Facilitators will be on hand throughout to offer hints and guiding questions. Just don't expect answers, because figuring it out is the point.
Before you join
Please complete the pre-event survey [link] so we can build balanced groups, and work through the recommended badges: Asynchronous Apex and Apex Integration Services. And please hold off on starting the Superbadge itself so we can tackle it together on the day.
Who it's for
Anyone who has been meaning to attempt this Superbadge, got stuck on it, or wants to sharpen their problem-solving alongside peers. Admins, developers, consultants and aspiring architects are all welcome. If you already know the material well, we'd love you to join as a group lead; just say so in the survey.
