Every time you save a Flow, Salesforce creates a new version and never deletes the old one. Over the years, an org collects hundreds or thousands of dead Flow versions. They block field deletions, break deployments, and push busy Flows toward the hard 50-version limit. And this happens in every sandbox in your pipeline, not just production. Worse, manual cleanup often fails silently, because paused Flow interviews block deletion behind the scenes.

In this session, I will show why this happens in every org, why the usual cleanup options fall short, and how I built Flow Version Cleaner, a free, open-source tool that runs entirely inside the org on a schedule, dry-run first, with a full audit trail. Along the way, I will share the engineering lessons from building it, including the DML-versus-callout trap that made the tool look like it worked when it didn't.
