Curious about Model Context Protocol (MCP)? Join this hands-on session to learn the fundamentals by building your own MCP server from scratch.
Everyone seems to be talking about MCP these days—but what exactly is it, and when does it make sense to use it?
In this hands-on session, we'll break down the Model Context Protocol (MCP) from first principles and build one together from scratch.
We'll cover:
What MCP is, why it was introduced, and the problems it solves.
How MCP compares to traditional REST APIs and CLI-based integrations.
Building a custom MCP server from scratch.
Connecting the MCP server to Claude Code and integrating it with Salesforce.
Real-world use cases and considerations for deciding whether MCP is the right fit for your projects.
The coding portion will be demo-led, and you're welcome to follow along as we build together. Whether you're curious about AI integrations or evaluating MCP for your Salesforce ecosystem, you'll leave with a solid understanding of how it works and where it adds value.
Bring your questions—we'll have plenty of time for discussion!
