We're back at Copper Shark on Tuesday October 27th to host a hybrid meeting starting at 5:30pm EDT. Join us in-person to meet fellow Salesforce professionals in the Baltimore area, engage in the presentation live, and indulge in a post-presentation dinner. We also provide a Zoom option for the presentation portion running 6-7pm EDT if you can't make it in-person.
Mike Grandel will be presenting a visual timeline solution he built with the help of AI as a development partner:
What happens when a Salesforce admin has an idea for a Lightning component but isn't a developer? This session shares the story behind Timeline Events, a reusable Lightning Web Component that presents important milestones and activities in a visual timeline on Salesforce records. Starting with an idea and a primarily declarative Salesforce skill set, AI was used as a development partner to design the data model, write and troubleshoot Apex and LWC code, build configurable features, and ultimately turn the component into a packageable Salesforce app. Along the way, we'll look at what worked, what didn't, and what was learned about using AI to bridge the gap between Salesforce administration and development. This isn't a coding tutorial—it's a practical look at how AI can expand what Salesforce admins are able to build and how far an idea can go with a little experimentation.
