About this event
Welcome Nashville Salesforce Developers! Join us this month for 2 great topics:
1. "Evolution of a JavaScript Button" with Chris Kelley
We'll walk through moving a Java Script button in Salesforce classic to an aura component in Salesforce Lightning, then to a Lighting Web Component in Salesforce Lightning.
2. "Testing on the Salesforce Platform" with Doug Ayers. As always we'll have food and networking so we can get to know our Developer Community.
We'll explore the benefits of both unit and integration testing on the Salesforce Platform to ensure quality of your apps. For server-side logic, we start with unit testing Apex classes then integration testing with Apex triggers. We then move to unit testing Lightning web components with Jest then full application testing with browser automation tools like Ghost Inspector, Selenium, and Puppeteer.
As always we'll have food, networking, and great conversation. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Are you moving to Lightning and wondering what to do with those pesky JavaScript buttons? We'll walk through the evolution of a JavaScript button to an Aura component then to a Lightning Web component.

Testing on the Salesforce Platform
How do you know that the code you’ve deployed is correct? How do you verify that future changes don’t introduce regressions? In this session we explore the benefits of both unit and integration testing on the Salesforce Platform to ensure quality of your apps. For server-side logic, we start with unit testing Apex classes then integration testing with Apex triggers. We then move to unit testing Lightning web components with Jest then full application testing with browser automation tools like Ghost Inspector, Selenium, and Puppeteer.
