Getting There

The Main Library is located at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and 6th Street.

By Freeway: Take the I-10 freeway to the Lincoln Blvd exit. Turn right onto Lincoln Blvd. and proceed .4 miles to Santa Monica Blvd where you will turn left. The Library will be one block ahead on the right.

By Bus: The Main Library is directly served by the Big Blue Bus lines 1, R10, and 18. Big Blue Bus lines 2, 3, R3, and 9 also stop within a short walking distance.

Parking

Subterranean Garage. An underground parking structure can be accessed from 7th Street between Santa Monica Blvd. and Arizona Ave. The structure has 525 parking spaces on three levels and is open from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm daily. Real-time parking space availability for the structure can be viewed on the City's Transportation Division website. Click on "Santa Monica Public Library."

The weekday daily maximum is $14.00. Weekday rates are:

The first 30 minutes are free. Then $0.50 per half hour for the next 1 hour.

After that, rates are $1.00 per half hour for the next 1.5 hours.

After that, rates are $1.50 per half hour for the next 2 hours.

After that, rates are $2.00 per half hour up to the daily maximum ($14). 

Electrical Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations

EV charging stations are located along the South wall of level P1 in the parking structure. ADA-only EV charging stations are located with the handicapped parking on level P1. (They're free with ChargePoint)
