At Local Wisdom, Pinaki and his team have built and managed numerous digital platforms, such as internal innovation communities, employee awards systems, data visualization for business intelligence, executive blogging platforms, and news portals that reach beyond the office walls, just to name a few.
Pinaki helps redefine what’s possible for his clients by running a lab division that experiments with the latest technologies. Together, he and his designers have created immersive VR experiences powered by hand-tracking technology as well as an award-winning iOS/Android weather app that uses real-time data to visualize beautiful animations designed by independent artists. Their 5-star-rated Salesforce app, Resource Hero, has helped more than 2,500 users streamline resource forecasting and time tracking.
After spending 7 years in consumer, mobile UX at Verizon Wireless and 10+ years in enterprise applications at Bell Labs/Lucent, Heather knows the tools and techniques for driving software and hardware development away from laboratory hack into well-researched, user-tested design. She is a firm believer that if your applications or products don’t work for end users, they don’t work.
Heather has published and presented internationally, just recently serving as Industrial Chairperson at the ACM’s Mobile HCI conference last September. She joined the the Salesforce community a year ago and is eagerly seeking to become part of the Ohana there while pushing her ISV Partner company toward user-centered success. Heather holds a Ph.D. in cognitive studies/intelligent technologies from Columbia University.
She will present today on UX activities in the software development lifecycle, focusing particularly on how Partner ISVs and Salesforce admins can perform these user centered design activities in the Salesforce ecosystem.
