Mobile Developer Week Meeting w/ Tom Gersic

About this event

Join us for the Chicago DUG session of Mobile Developer Week! 40 Salesforce DUGs from around the world will be meeting during this week, and all will be discussing mobile development and the new Salesforce Platform Mobile Services.  Tom Gersic, who is a Director, Technical Solutions for Salesforce.com will be speaking.

We'll be focusing on mobile development for Salesforce.com -- what comes available to users out of the box, and some of the many ways to get up and running quickly with developing custom mobile apps on the Salesforce Platform using skills that Salesforce developers already have, like Apex/Visualforce, Javascript, and HTML5. We'll be discussing the new Salesforce Platform Mobile Services launch, and the we'll do a hands-on walkthrough of building an iOS app using the Salesforce Mobile SDKs and the new Mobile Packs.

Anyone wanting to follow along with the hands-on activities should set up a new DE org at developerforce.com and also clone the Salesforce iOS SDK from Github and install it with the instructions given in the Readme.md file.
