Salesforce Nonprofit User Group, Charlotte, United States
Salesforce often encourages newbies to volunteer with nonprofits to gain experience — but nonprofits aren't always so keen to let strangers loose in their orgs. Let's discuss how nonprofits might take advantage of offers of help, and what potential volunteers need to know to make a positive difference.
Over the last couple of months, several of our group have been noodling a Nonprofit Boot Camp — a half-day (or longer) program where potential volunteers can learn how nonprofits work, how they use Salesforce, the basics of Salesforce for nonprofits (including but not limited to NPSP), and more. During our May meeting, we'll talk about our needs and concerns as nonprofits, the organizational issues we face using volunteers, and what we want potential volunteers to know before they sign in to our Salesforce orgs. So bring your ideas and let's build a roadmap to the inaugural Charlotte Nonprofit Bootcamp!
