Ryan is one of the authors of Visualforce in Practice and will be sharing content related to his contributions in the book. He will demonstrate using the Salesforce Streaming API to display realtime data from Google heat maps

Streaming Realtime Data into Visualforce and Salesforce1

Data can be one of your most vital assets as a developer and within your company as a whole. Salesforce provides a real-time feed of your data via the Streaming API that can give your clients and customers unprecedented insights to their data and the flow of information in their org. We'll review how to set up the Streaming API, how to subscribe to the feed within Visualforce and Salesforce1, and some compelling ways to visualize your data in real-time using Visualforce charts and Google heat maps.
