About this event

Join us for dinner, to meet some other women in tech, and to hear Eteroa Lafaele discuss what it's like to be a Māori/Pasifika woman in tech.

Eteroa is a Computer Science graduate who recently finished an internship at Vend and is now enrolled at Enspiral Dev Academy. She made her claim to fame by "showing them who's boss" when she walked the stage at AUT's graduation in 2018. If you've been to any #SalesforceAKLWiT events, you will know Eteroa for her charismatic and fearless nature. Eteroa can make a whole room smile and is a dynamite public speaker. Just as there is a shortage of women in the tech industry, the Māori community is also underrepresented with only 2.5% of the Māori workforce represented in the IT industry [source: page 8 of this report]. Come hear what Eteroa has to say about this issue.

Please RSVP to the event so that you get added to the catering count. All food will be plant-based and will have gluten-free options.

Please update your RSVP or contact Alisa (below) if you know you can't attend after RSVPing.
